Despite this being the second time sifting around behind the scenes of a Homestyle magazine shoot…I tell ya – it never gets old! As a magazine obsessed person for most of my life it really does feel extra special to be able to watch those creative and visual minds at work.
On this occasion at Flash Studio’s I bounced around on the edges as prolific (and super cool!) Anya Brighouse worked her magic on her “children’s room” set. Anya is known for her love and boldness of colour and as a mother she knew better than to style pristine examples of kids bedrooms!
As you can see – she can inject a sense of humour and fun into a setting while combining colour and pattern like no bodies business!

Then it was the turn of one of the Homestyles own stylists; Sophie Peacocke to get intense on the layering! As you can see from the pics she had selected the most BEAUTIFUL background colour and I loved idea of slinging her products over a washing-line-esque set up.
All in all the vibe is always collaborative, creative and fun!All photography by Julia Atkinson for Studio Home
Below is an example of one of Sophie’s sets – the rest you can see in the very sexy new look Homestyle which is out now (including ALL the great product they used!)!
