Introducing Lewis Fredericks

Lewis Fredericks Eyewear: made using the previously wasted horn of farmed waterbuffalo. Natural variations in finishes make for truly unique pairs! I tried the 2x designs in the 3 colour categories. ……

I am feeling pretty excited and chuffed to be the first to introduce you all to a cool new NZ based brand focused on quality eyewear!
Lewis Fredericks is the result of two young kiwi go-getters knocking heads and doing their research. With two designs in their collection (available as sun AND optical frames) they offer three “colourways” in the natural material of buffalo horn. This is a by product of normal farming practices in Asia and offers a beautiful finish that means no pair of glasses is the same.
To show the great variation of grain and tone we decided to make that little GIF for you to check them out. To see the frames, lenses and more visit the Lewis Fredericks site here.

So far they have secured just a small handful of stockists in NZ which include Wunderkammer in Auckland and Wellingtons Woodward Optical and Brown and Co – they are on the look out for some more like-minded retailers…

I’ll admit I am loving their return to a classic, timeless style.
My pick of the bunch? Well for sunny days I am going for the Fosters in Dark Horn and for seeing-eye glasses the Lloyds in Light Horn.
