Japanuary: a magical mystery tour

I’ve never given you guys an official run down of my trip to Japan in January when I well and truly ditched you all for a little while! (sure you didn’t miss SH thaaaat much !!) It was definitely a once in a life time tour that not only combined an awesome crew of my friends but my first experience of being part of a specific media visit that involved A LOT of scheduling! We shot film and photos across 4 ski resorts in Nagano and as part of my membership of the trip I also created a post for each which was then run by the Ski Club of Great Britain and NZskier.com

All the images below are by my very clever buddy Camilla Stoddart and I look forward to sharing the edits that Jase is working on (in his studio set up in our garage!) at the moment. If you are keen for some travel reads (not just ALL about skiing!) then you can check out the blog links at the bottom of this post.

I guess the most important thing that I left with is that Japan is an intriguing mix of being extremely modern and equally traditional.  And the people are by far the most accommodating and friendly of any I have ever met.
Oh…and the snow….
