……

Sydneysiders – if you head down to the HE MADE SHE MADE Gallery on Oxford Street you are sure in for a pleasant surprise! Until the 1st of August the collaborative group of young designers – MADE3 have some of their beautiful design on display.

MADE3 is a collaboration established by furniture designer/makers Andrew Carvolth, Tim Wallace and Bernard Benny. For their “Volume One” exhibition they are joined by Elliot Bastianon, Andrew Watts, Niklavs Rubenis and Allison Jackson – all of whom are graduates/students from the Australian National University School of Art.
(You can find links to all their personal sites on MADE3)

Their purpose is simple:
“To promote contemporary Australian craft, skill and design. We believe in the benefits of good design and the value of locally made objects and furniture.”
Take some time to explore their site, project and personal work. I love their “safety in numbers” approach and their work is certainly a slick portfolio of emerging Australian design talent when presented all together!
