New but Old

Was reading the latest NZ Life and Leisure mag and was really inspired to learn about lodge owners Willem and Carla Van der Veen. Its not often in NZ that people are gutsy enough to inject the kind of character into a new build such as this couple. A combo of mud bricks, straw bales, plaster and recycled beams inject an amazing homespun, hand rendered feeling to their Manawa Ridge Lodge. I would LOVE to spend some time there.
