Presenting Speargrass Inn!!!!

And after…..

Speargrass Inn is the latest project to pass over the Studio Home desk and I am stoked to share with you all the much improved (hope you will agree from the pics above!!) restaurant and accommodation that we have arrived at! Speargrass Inn is between Alexandra and Roxburgh in rural Central Otago. Amazing country side and buildings that have a strong and long history with the locals. I am relieved to say that they are pleased with the re birth of their old haunt!!
Snap shots at this stage but hoping to get some better ones done. Enjoy!

Aptly named Gin and Tonic chairs!

Simple, relaxed and just the right amount of rustic. Fantastic wreath by Georgie Pinckney.
Entrance to the ancient little snug.

The snug.

The Speargrass Inn quaint country courtyard!

A little surprise for loo goers…

Owner and fantastic client Jackie van der Voort and myself

A treat for those in the private dining room

I believe there is nothing quite as organic, simple and warm as a large rice paper globe. Yum.
All table settings getting the desired dose of quirk with the Seletti range!! Fantastic porcelain products that can be stuck straight in the dishwasher and oven.

I love what you've done here, what a wicked project to have completed. The wallpaper you choose is SO cool! (And like you, I think rice paper globes are the best – nice soft light, relatively cheap, and I dare say they won't ever go out of style).
