So I am wondering a little as I organise this post if you are all getting concerned I might be veering down the “wedding blog” route…if one day you are going to arrive here and realise the only posts I am presenting you with revolve around hand holding, public pashing and good/bad bridal fashion. Let me assure you – I’m not (that is if I’m still single in 10 years then hell yes this will be a wedding blog!) The reason I keep funnelling wedding photography at you is for two good reasons. I shall explain…
The first is that I am soooo taken by the fine art movement amongst these photographers, like that whopping gorgeous collection above by Australian Matthew Mead. Wedding photography as a career choice is often poo poohed by many professional photographers, but in my opinion – this is where the risks are being taken, the pressure is at its utmost and the creativity is swelling.
Secondly…I just kind of realllly love the idea of everyday people getting, that often once in a lifetime, opportunity to be captured in magazine quality photography and have those spectacular moments captured, like their own art, forever.
Amen. Be prepared for more when worthy! Thank you Matthew Mead for providing the most beautiful “point”!
