Today is the first anniversary of the February 22nd earthquake that hit dear Christchurch at 12.51pm with fury, destroying homes, businesses and lives. For those of you outside of NZ who might not know about this tragic day in our history you can take a look at my posts from last year and also these before and after images, which show the physical mess but not the damage done to the heart and soul of the Christchurch people. The strength of those that have refused to leave amazes me and I have SO much respect. The plans for the place are exciting with the opportunity to create a very special cityscape.  But today is all about remembering the loss for the families of the 184 people that were killed.  The artwork above by NZ artist Fleur Wickes just felt right to share. xoxo
