Student Work 2

Auckland Architecture School Student Project - images: Studio HomeTo follow on from the first post and introduction of architecture student group; “Fifth” last month – I paid them another visit on Friday to check out their projects progress. (If it’s a total mystery as to what I am talking about I’d suggest you quickly refresh yourself with their work here.)
They continued brainstorming, model making and sussing out how to “life size” their concept and then last week launched into the fabrication mode in the Auckland University’s Architecture School workshop. As you can see in the images below, nice shoes and nail polish don’t stop these girls from a little hardwork!! Impressively they also took on sourcing sponsorship with gusto and their success to date has them producing their installation on a massive scale! (of which I will share next week!)

As always I got totally swept up in the enthusiasm and unbridaled creativity that seems to live permanently on campus! The team took me through the workshop and explained their plans which are now all full steam a head with just 1.5 weeks until installation on site in New Lynn for the Auckland Heritage Festival.

Scroll to the bottom of the post for one SENSATIONAL way to win annnnnd support their project!
