taumatawhaka….

YES I have been working…but here is a wee sidetrack while having an art hunt for a client on Etsy. Stickytiki is a kiwi etsy shop owner and in honour of its NZ routes, has produced a graphic, versatile piece of text for your walls:

Is the Maori name for a hill, 305 metres (1,000 ft) high, close to Porangahau, south of Waipukurau in southern Hawkes Bay, New Zealand. The name is often shortened to Taumata by the locals for ease of conversation.

Translation: The summit where Tamatea, the man with the big knees, the climber of mountains, the land swallower who travelled about, played his nose flute to his loved one.

This wall decal is fully reusable and repositionable and wont damage you walls. It comes in two options. One length to use as a boarder or in sections that can be put together numerous ways, we will also make other colours, on request for an small extra cost. Our colours are Chocolate and Taupe-like the burnished hills of Southern Hawkes Bay.
